Sensei Ben Corpuz - Chief Instructor

Ben Corpuz is a kickboxing instructor/MMA trainer, certified fitness trainer and a certified kettlebell instructor. Specializing in the area of martial arts, Ben holds a black belt in the art of Taekwondo and has competed in numerous amateurs and national level fights. By combining his inherent love for the martial arts with exceptional credentials, Ben has been able to channel his passion for fitness and martial arts into a career through the establishment of BC Kickboxing & Fitness – a premier kickboxing and personal training facility.

With the changing world of mixed martial arts, sensei Ben is ever committed to learning all aspects of the game. Ben is currently an active student and a competitor in both stand up and grappling tournaments. He holds a brown belt in Shotokan Karate under the tutelage of professor Kwak. He started his Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and fought under professor Matt “the terror” Serra (former UFC welterweight champion) for 2 years, and now training over 5 years and hold a purple belt, he is currently under the tutelage of professor Joe Scarola(UFC fighter) and Tom Muller of the Gracie Barra Long Island Team. Ben is also well trained in the art of Muay Thai, he is a level 7 certified (MTIA) under the world renowned Master Toddy in Las Vegas. He also trained under Extreme Lacosta 2x world Muay Thai Champion. Ben is the current Head Striking coach for the Gracie Barra Long Island academies. He also belongs to the Gracie Barra fight team.

Believing that “true victory is victory over oneself”, Ben approaches his training and work ethics with great dedication and enthusiasm with the hopes that this philosophy will be instilled in his students, members of his gym, and all of his clients as well. Bens many other accomplishments include: Former amateur USKBA  Thai Boxing champion, New York San Da Kickboxing tournament champion, NAGA World gold medalist, Grapplers Quest gold medalist, NYC King of the mat tournament champion, Long Island Pride gold medalist. Competed at the Pan Ams and Abu Dhabi Pro Trials. Sensei Ben is also a World Kickboxing Association (WKA) affiliate and an International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation fighter.

Tami Mele – Cardio Kickboxing/Personal trainer

Tami studied at the NYC HS of Performing arts and hold a BFA in dance from Adelphi University where she graduated with departmental honors. Her performance credits include Collective Dance Company, guest artist with DJ McDonald at Lincoln Center Summer Arts Festival, and annual fundraisers with Elle magazine. She has taught modern, jazz, ballet, and hip hop throughout Westchester and Queens County for the past 16 years to students of all ages. She has also been teaching cardio kickboxing on Long Island for the past 4 years and a certified fitness trainer, she currently heads a local running club.



Chris Villalba – Boxing/Personal trainer
Chris is a certified trainer, Boxing instructor and has skills and knowledge with kickboxing under the direction of his sensei and head trainer Ben Corpuz. Boxing and teaching this art is one of his passions and with his 6 years of experience he could help train individuals interested in competition, weight loss, self defense, or just an overall better physical shape. Chris has the knowledge in several methods of weight training to challenge the body to reach the goal desired by the clients.
